Building My Dream Computer

Image
A fter a long time, I'm going to start a project. Since I was very young, I always wanted to build a computer from scratch. Once I tried to do it with AVRs, but it didn't worked. While the covid-19 pandemic I could find some information about a CPU z80, which was used early computers. z80 CPUs are still available and, other chips like SRAMs, EPROMS can still find on eBay. So I decided to build my dream computer with this z80. So, I ordered some ICs with z80 two months ago, But I received them, in this year. So, I started my project in 2021. I have little experience with AVR and PIC microcontrollers, and Arduino. But I have never used a CPU like this before. So, my first step is trying  to write some little programs with this CPU. To control Inputs, Outputs, and Memory, I decided to use an Arduino Board. z80 CPU has 8bit data bus and 16bit address bus. with the control signal pins, I need at least 30 IO pins. If I had an Arduino Mega board, I could easily control this CPU. But

How to make mini hoe

Let's make mini "hoe". I started with a steel rod and then I made the blade by hammering. Then I sharped the blade and used an epoxy glue to bond it to a toothpick. To get the shine and the color of the toothpick, I used mineral oil and then coated with nail polish. Video

Quick Trick 1 : Cleaning Agent for Home Laboratory Glassware

This quick post shows you how to make cleaning agent for your home laboratory glassware. This will make you easy to clean your laboratory glassware rather than soap. It can also remove potassium permanganate stain Mix 30% hydrogen peroxide with concentrated hydrochloric acid for 1:1 ratio. Dilute the solution by adding water about 3:1 ratio. Use the solution to clean your glassware. It doesn't require to brush while cleaning. Warning : The solution contains acids and strong oxidizers.

Blue bottle Experiment

Image
Hi there. In this post, I'm bring you a really cool experiment. The blue bottle experiment. This is actually not about a blue colored bottle. This is about a color changing solution. There is a bottle contain a liquid like water. When it shake, that liquid turns blue color. You will need.... 1 gram of Sodium hydroxide 5 grams of Glucose Methylene blue Methylene blue is used to treat fungal infections of fish . So you can find it from pet shops. Sodium hydroxide (also called caustic soda) can be found in hardware stores. Let's start. first mix sodium hydroxide with 20ml of water. Now keep is aside. Then get the glucose and add 40ml of water. Now add few drops from Methylene blue and mix the solution. And now pour the those two solutions to a volumetric flask. If you don't have a flask, just get a bottle. After few seconds the solution turns colorless. Now shake the flask. It turns blue and again after few seconds, it turns colorless. Just enjoy. Th

Do Energy Levels Represents a Length Between Electron and nucleus?

Image
from arstechnica.com What do you think about that? Niels Bohr said that electrons were travelling in circular orbits. But today, we know that electrons are traveling in orbitals . I think before we answer the question, we have to talk about the structure of electrons. There are many energy levels in an atom. In each energy level, there are orbitals . There are four types of orbitals, we call s, p, d, f. When we talking about first energy level, there is only one “s” orbital. Then the second energy level, there are two orbitals called “s” and “p”. ( I’m only talking about s and p orbitals in this post. ) Every electron moving in their orbitals. So, we can’t tell where is the electron at the moment without catching it. But we can mark a specific area (That is what I called orbital.) and tell “the electron can be anywhere in this orbital.” In other words, the possibility of an electron can be from Wikipedia anywhere in orbital is one. By studying their wave funct
